Is it safe to hire a tutor through IlmGhar?
Yes. Every tutor's CNIC and degree are verified before they appear, and on a managed hire every lesson and payment is supervised by our admin team, with dispute protection.
How does payment work?
On a managed hire you pay IlmGhar (not the tutor) at the start of each month. We pay the tutor on time, and you only pay for the lessons actually taken — unused lessons are refunded if you stop early.
What does it cost?
It's free for students — you only ever pay the tutor's monthly rate per subject, nothing extra. On a managed hire the tutor (not you) pays a 10% service fee, deducted only when they're paid. Browsing and messaging tutors are free too.
What's the difference between just messaging a tutor and hiring through IlmGhar?
Messaging just sends your note to the tutor — you'd arrange payment and lessons yourselves, with no protection, and the chat disappears after 7 days. Hiring through IlmGhar gets you a permanent chat room, lesson tracking, payment protection and reviews.
How quickly will a tutor respond?
Tutors have 7 days to respond to a request. You'll get an email and see their reply in your inbox.
Do you offer a free trial period?
We don't have a separate trial period — instead you're covered by payment protection. On a managed hire you can stop after your very first lesson, or any lesson, and you'll only ever be charged for the lessons you actually took; the rest is refunded to you. So there's no risk in trying out a tutor. If you'd like an introductory session first, just message the tutor to arrange one.
Can I change or stop with a tutor?
Yes — you're never locked in. You only pay for lessons taken, and admin settles any balance pro-rata if you stop part-way through a month.
